Supplemented generation
Twelve percent of boys and eight percent of girls surveyed by Childrens' Hospital, Boston said they had taken supplements, and even steroids, in the past year to change the way they looked. Most commonly used supplements were protein powders and shakes, creatine, amino acids, the amino-acid metabolite HMB, the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone, or DHEA, growth hormone and anabolic steroids.
"The Internet is full of sites where these substances can be purchased, and many are advertised in popular health and fitness magazines with covers like 'Great abs in 5 minutes a day,'" said Dr. Alison Field, an epidemiologist at Children's Hospital Boston and a co-author of the study.

That is horrible. Society is obsessed with image and its hurting our children. I found this article on dietary supplements and the danger associated with them.

I think we need to teach children too eat healthy at an early age. The habit usually sticks.
