Ashton Farmers' Market

I visited this farmers' market on Sunday and was blown away by the amount and variety of local produce on sale. It's for the best I only had £14 in my pocket, I could easily have bought one of everything.

The Farmers' market takes over the stalls on the last Sunday of every month. This month's was augmented by a European market that easily competed with the ones put on in Manchester every Christmas/ major holiday season. There's a three day continental market planned for July 8th to 10th. And that's what the whole thing reminded me of. This isn't the sort of enterprise you're used to seeing in Britain, not on anything resembling a regular basis, this felt european.

More power to Ashton and I hope the energy remains after the Market Hall is rebuilt.
